  • Neurofeedback for Peak Performance

Neurofeedback for Peak PerformanceAround 2008 or 2009 I started noticing mentions in the media related to neurofeedback for peak performance. This ramped up even more during and after the 2010 Olympics.

How can neurofeedback help you improve your game? Here are three of the ways:

    • Stay in the moment (this means being in the “flow” state)

    • Reduce sports anxiety and use that energy for your game

    • Be able to let go of mistakes and refocus quickly

In 2013, Dr. Valdeanne Brown, co-founder and developer of NeurOptimal® Dynamical Nurofeedback®, recorded a video about neurofeedback for peak performance, titled, The Possibilities are Endless: Using Brain Training to Up your Golf Game. One of the things Dr. Brown says in the video is that it is “training of the central nervous system, regardless of task.” That’s what makes it so widely applicable – and helpful.
