  • What to Expect in a Neurofeedback Session

NeurOptimal neurofeedback for insomniaWhen you come for a  NeurOptimal™  neurofeedback session you’ll be sitting in a comfortable chair watching a graphic (or you can close your eyes), and you’ll be listening to music. You’ll hear very brief pauses in the music – this is the system giving feedback to your brain – and the image will also pause or change.

You’ll have sensors on your ears and head (five altogether). The sensors are there to transmit information to the NeurOptimal® neurofeedback system about the electrical activity of your brain, specifically, to flag shifts for your brain so it can assess which shifts are useful and which not. Your central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord) will use that information to optimize itself, to increase the flexibility and resilience of your system.
