  • 6 Foods Your Brain Will Thank You For

Having as healthy a brain as possible can’t help but contribute to the outcome of your neurofeedback training.

Nutritionist Barbara Mendez, who has guest posted here, recently wrote a post on her own blog, Barbara Mendez Nutrition, titled 6 Foods Your Brain Will Thank You For.

Here are the six foods – to read more about how each is good for your brain, click on the link above.Foods your brain will thank you for

    • Blueberries
    • Wild Alaskan salmon
    • Nuts and seeds
    • Avacados
    • Flax
    • Cacao

Hmmm, cacao… chocolate… None of those foods sound hard to take, do they? I get a daily dose of flax by sprinkling ground flax seeds on my cereal (get the vacuum packed kind for freshness). This kind of good nutrition will help your brain make the most of the good work your brain is doing in neurofeedback training – and all the other things you do in life.

  1. If I’m working with a client that really loves chocolate but would benefit from cutting back I will recommend they shave an ounce of dark chocolate over a cup of fresh blueberries, satisfying their chocolate cravings and providing a bit of fiber in the blueberries. This delivers a double dose of antioxidants beneficial for the brain!

  2. Unfortunately, Fukushima radiation is making Pacific seafood unsafe to consume. Salmon consume zooplankton, which has been tested to be highly radioactive from the dumping of radioactive waters off the coast of Japan.
