  • Sleep Loss Equals Productivity Loss

Dr. Ed O’Malley, of Your Optimal Nature and my go to sleep guru, wrote an article recently for the Fairfield Country Business Journal about how lack of sleep can impact productivity. About one third of United States adults do not wake up in the morning refreshed.

This can cost employers around $2,000 a year per employee.

If you do the math on that, the total costs are astronomical, and that’s just the cost to the bottom lines of businesses. There are also costs to personal well-being.

One of the tools Ed uses at the sleep center is neurofeedback. In my experience, improvements in sleep management are very often one of the first things my clients report, sometimes as quickly as after one session. And as my clients often say, sleeping better makes everything better.
