How to find a neurofeedback trainer

If you’re having trouble finding a neurofeedback trainer near you, it’s not too surprising, especially if you don’t live in an urban area. There are probably less than 10,000 of us in the world.

That number is growing as neurofeedback becomes better known. More people are drawn to becoming trainers, sometimes out of their own experience of changes brought about by neurofeedback for themselves or someone they know well.

Or they may be in an allied profession – for example, I received an emaill a week or so ago from a psychotherapist who was thinking of adding neurofeedback to what she can offer her clients. She had seen on my website that I’m also a psychotherapist. We had an interesting conversation about the combination. Because it directly addresses the “wiring” in the brain, neurofeedback can be the missing piece for people who have done a lot of therapy and other kinds of work on themselves but still aren’t feeling and living the way they want to.

If you’re interested in NeurOptimal® neurofeedback (which I believe is the state of the art), you can look for a provider by visiting the New York Neurofeedback website where you’ll find a link to an international provider list.

You’re also welcome to email me and let me know where you live and what a reasonable commute for you is.  I may personally know someone in your area.
