  • Six Pillars for a Healthy Brain

How to have a healthy brain is a topic near and dear to the hearts of neurofeedback trainers. Here’s a Cleveland Clinic article called 6 Pillars of Brain Health.

    NeurOptimal Neurofeedback and Sleep

It’s a useful article, and I recommend reading it. It’s helpful information. You’re probably already doing at least some of what they describe. For example, I was happy to see dark chocolate listed in their recommendations for good brain nutrition, along with other food favorites.

    I’ll list the six pillars:

    • Physical Exercise
    • Food and Nutrition
    • Medical Health
    • Sleep and Relaxation
    • Mental Fitness
    • Social Interaction

How can NeurOptimal® help with these? (NeurOptimal® is the state of the art neurofeedback system used at New York Neurofeedback.)

Overall, what I have seen with my clients over the past 19 plus years is that people find it easier to do what is good for them and easier to not do what isn’t good for them. Clients report things like going to the gym without an internal argument. They make wiser choices regarding food, alcohol, etc. Shyness can just fade away. Avoidance of the dentist or other needed healthcare can disappear. In addition, NeurOptimal® is excellent at improving stress management and sleep management. Your brain will thank you for those.
