  • NeurOptimal®, Spring, and Beethoven’s Ode to Joy

It’s spring, a time that can bring us moments of joy just watching the many changes happening around us.

What does this have to do with NeurOptimal® Dynamical Neurofeedback®? When I first started training my own brain more than 20 years ago, one of the things I noticed was that I was having moments of joy with no apparent cause. It wasn’t spring, no cherry blossoms blooming or fall colors or favoite holiday or good news. Joyful, apparently just because.

So, first, if you haven’t felt joyful lately, try listening to this video, 10,000 Singing Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. Reasons to listen include:

    • It’s beautiful.
    • It’s uplifting.
    • Music and its effects on us are a fascinating aspect of our complex and amazing brains.
    • The video wonderfully demonstrates the possibilities in group energy and connection.

Now, more about the connection to NeurOptimal®: I believe Joy is part of the spectrum of emotions that should be available to us. If you’re not feeling much of it, if your’re feeling down or having trouble managing stress, consider trying NeurOptimal® neurofeedback.
